KombDev Computer Support: Warranty Policy
At KombDev Computer Support ("KombDev"), we stand by the quality of our workmanship and the hardware we provide. Under a valid warranty claim, covered parts, software, labor, or service will be provided at no additional cost to the Client. The following terms outline the scope, duration, and limitations of our service and product warranties.
1. General Warranty Scope and Sourcing
- KombDev Sourced Only: This warranty only covers parts and/or software that were both purchased directly through KombDev AND installed by a KombDev technician.
- Client-Provided Parts: Parts, tools, or software purchased or provided by the Client are strictly not covered by this warranty, even if they are installed by KombDev's technicians.
- Software Licenses: This warranty does not cover software licenses of any kind. The Client acknowledges that purchasing, maintaining, and managing all software licenses is completely their own responsibility.
2. Hardware and Labor Warranty
- 30-Day Coverage: On-site labor, hardware installations, and KombDev-supplied parts are covered by a thirty (30) day warranty following the completion date.
- Scope: This warranty applies only to the specific tasks and services performed during that visit. If the same issue reoccurs within the 30-day window due to an error in our initial workmanship or a defective KombDev-sourced part, we will address it at no additional cost.
- Exclusions: 3rd-party batteries are strictly excluded from this hardware warranty and are not covered.
3. Software and Virus/Malware Warranty
- "As-Is" Provision: Software repairs, virus/malware removals, OS optimizations, and network configurations are provided "as-is".
- Exclusions: They are strictly not guaranteed against future user error, reinfection, or third-party software updates once successfully installed or resolved.
4. Remote Support
Not Covered: Remote support sessions are not covered under any KombDev warranty. Warranty coverage applies strictly to qualifying on-site services and hardware installations.
5. General Warranty Exclusions
Our warranty is designed to cover defects in parts provided by KombDev and errors in our direct workmanship. The warranty is immediately voided and does not cover any issues or damage resulting from:
- Accidental Damage: Drops, spills, or physical breakage.
- User-Induced Issues: Negligence, misuse, malware/virus infections, or any subsequent modifications, repairs, or tampering performed by the user or a third party after our service is completed.
- Acts of God: Natural disasters, storms, fires, or floods.
- Environmental Factors: Damage caused by extreme heat, moisture, dust, or improper ventilation.
- Utility Services: Problems stemming from external utility providers, including electrical power surges, brownouts, or Internet Service Provider (ISP) outages.
